Councilman Mark Yampaglia was appointed by Mayor Peter Massa on January 1st to complete the mayor's unexpired term.
Yampaglia served previously after being appointed by former Mayor Russ Pitman in January of 2004 and was elected to complete the same term in November of 2005.

Mr. Yampaglia's term expires December 31st, 2007.

The son of Municipal Judge Emil Yampaglia, Councilman Yampaglia previously served the borough as its Public Defender.

A life-long resident of North Arlington, Mr. Yampaglia graduated from North Arlington High School and received his BA from Fairleigh-Dickinson University (FDU). Councilman Yampaglia earned his law degree from Touro College which serves some 21,000 students at the graduate and undergraduate level including law, business and medicine.
