The following is a message from North Arlington Police Chief Louis M. Ghione, regarding: Speed Enforcement Campaign to be conducted locally as part of nationwide Obey the Signs or Pay the Fines mobilization July, 2006:

Chief Louis M. Ghione of The North Arlington Police Department announced the Department will participate in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Speed Enforcement Campaign, “Obey the Signs or Pay the Fines”. The primary purpose is to reduce speed related accidents.  The campaign is scheduled for the month of July 2006.

North Arlington Officers will be enforcing various violations of law with the purpose of reducing motor vehicle accidents, thereby increasing pedestrian, and vehicle safety. The officers will use radar and other enforcement methods, at different problem areas.
